Visitors Deck at Vienna Airport opens today

The new Visitors Deck at Vienna Airport opened today: with a length of 250 metres and a total area of roughly 1,350 m², it is located directly on the roof of Check-in 3 and gives guests a wide-ranging overview of the apron, take-offs and landings as well as the lively activity at the airport. Posters and visual presentations provide facts and figures on airport-related professions, details on the most common types of aircraft and general aviation data. The Visitors Deck, which is situated in the public area of the airport, is open to everyone interested in a close look at airport operations.

Open from mid-March to mid-November

Starting today and up to the winter closing on 16 November 2012, the Visitors Deck will be open daily from 10 am to 8 pm for an introductory admission price of € 2. It offers a close-up view of take-offs and landings as well as the lively operations on the apron. Starting with the 2013 season, the Visitors Deck will be open daily from 15 March to 15 November from 10 pm to 8 pm. The information offering will also be expanded. Admission prices will equal € 4 for adults and € 2 for children starting with the 2013 season. Tickets can be purchased on the Visitors Deck and in the Visitair Center at Vienna Airport. The Visitors Deck is located on top of the Check-in 3 at the beginning of the arrivals and check-in hall. In line with departure procedures, security controls are also required to enter the Visitors Deck.
