Flughafen Wien AG: inaugural landing of SkyWork Airlines at Vienna Airport
Yesterday marked the first landing of SkyWork Airlines at Vienna Airport: Starting on 5 September 2011, this Swiss airline will connect the capital cities of Vienna and Bern. In a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony at Vienna Airport, the airline and Tomislav Lang, Chief Executive Officer of SkyWork Airlines, were welcomed by Julian Jäger, (COO) and Günther Ofner, (CFO), members of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
Six flights per week from Vienna to Bern
SkyWork Airlines will depart from Bern six times per week at 3.40 pm and arrive in Vienna at 5.15 pm. The return flight will leave Vienna at 6.00 pm. A Dornier 328 will be used on this route.
SkyWork Airlines started in 2003 with charter flights to various holiday destinations. The first scheduled destination was Rotterdam in 2009, and the flight plan has since grown to include 14 destinations throughout Europe. In the first half of 2011 SkyWork Airlines carried a total of 25,948 passengers.
