The importance of the environment must never be overlooked. Flughafen Wien AG has long stood for ecological economic awareness, an indispensable element of any responsible corporate strategy today. Ecology and economy are not contradictory - they complement each other. The environmental policy of Vienna Airport has become known for not only combating environmental problems, but also reducing them through effective measures or - if possible - avoiding them altogether.

As the location of around 230 companies, Vienna Airport is confronted with all the environmentally relevant problems of a medium-sized city. Special attention is paid to local residents: through a series of targeted measures, continuous efforts are being made to keep their impact as low as possible.
