New at Vienna Airport: Minoan Air introduces connection to Lugano (Switzerland)
Minoan Airlines will be introducing three flights per week to Lugano in Switzerland starting on 29 March 2013. The Greek carrier plans to use a Fokker 50 on this route.
Lugano is the largest city in the Swiss canton of Tessin and, after Zurich and Geneva, the third largest financial centre in Switzerland. The region also offers numerous destinations for excursions with its three nearby lakes: Lake Luganer, Lake Como and Lake Maggiore.
Minoan Air was founded in September 2011 and maintains its headquarters at Heraklion Airport in Greece. The fleet currently comprises four Fokker 50s, and plans call for the addition of another machine in the future.
