A new destination in Northern England Manchester can be reached directly from Vienna starting on 2 May 2014.
The British airline Jet2.com now offers three flights each week from Vienna to this North English city. The new flight connection
was inaugurated today by David Neill, Head of Network Planning Jet2.com and Mag. Julian Jäger, member of the Management Board
of Flughafen Wien AG at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
We are happy to welcome Jet2.com with this new direct destination from Vienna Airport. The new connection will make it easier to reach Northern England from Vienna and bring new impulses for the economic and tourism sectors in Great Britain and Austria, commented Julian Jäger, member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
The addition of Vienna to the Jet2.com route network has a number of positive effects: After more than seven years, guests from Northern England can again travel more comfortably to Vienna with this direct connection. This will open a market of 17 million potential visitors for Vienna. Great Britain already has a standing as one of the most important markets for Vienna and, with 450,000 overnight stays in 2013, ranked among the Top 10 in Viennas statistics, commented Viennas tourism director Norbert Kettner. Jet2.com will make an important contribution to the continuation of this success story in the future

Three flights weekly from Vienna to Manchester in Northern England
A B737-300 from Manchester will arrive in Vienna at 5.45 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and start the return flight at 6.20 pm. Jet2.com offers low ticket prices, friendly service and assigned seating and 22 kg baggage allowance. Tickets can be booked under www.jet2.com.
