New at Vienna Airport: TUIFly to offer flight service from Vienna to Rhodes, Kos, Crete and Corfu effective immediately
Starting today, May 4, 2015, TUIfly will operate full charter flights from Austria for the first time. The airline will fly six times a week from Vienna to the Greek islands of Rhodes, Kos, Crete and Corfu. The initial flight was welcomed today in the presence of Lisa Weddig, Head of Flight & Yield Management TUI Austria and Carolin Drott, Aviation Marketing of Flughafen Wien AG.
This is a great day for us. The fact that we can now also transport our Austrian guests to their vacation destinations with our own airline is another important step in the interests of optimizing the customer journey. By targeting Greece in the first season, we are precisely focusing on the trend destinations of the summer season, said Dirk Lukas, CEO TUI Austria Holding on the occasion of the initial flight in Vienna on May 4, 2015.
We are pleased that these new flight connections further extends the offering of holdiay destinations served by Vienna Airport. In particular, the Mediterranean regions are popular travel destinations for Austrian passengers, says Julian Jäger, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.
A Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats is being deployed. The flights will be operated in the period May 4, 2015 to October 5, 2015. Flights from Vienna to Kos will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays. Flight service to Corfu will be Tuesdays, whereas flights to Rhodes will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays and to Crete on Saturdays. Flights from Graz to Kos will be offered in the pre-season and off-season.
Precise flight times, information and booking options can be found at www.tuifly.com and www.tui.at.
