Vienna Airport: Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the new Moxy Hotel
Today, on February 29, 2016, the ground-breaking ceremony took place to commemorate the beginning of construction work on the new Moxy Vienna Airport Hotel. The 400 room hotel at the airport site features the Marriott lifestyle brand. It is is being built by the international real estate investor Vastint Hospitality B.V. and will be operated by Bierwirth & Kluth Hotel Management GmbH. The first Moxy hotel in Austria is scheduled to open its doors for guests in 2017. The ground-breaking ceremony was led by Markus Lehnert, Regional Vice President International Development Marriott, Klaus Kluth, Managing Director Bierwirth & Kluth and Günther Ofner, Member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG.

Moxy Hotel will open at the beginning of 2017
The opening of the first hotel in Austria featuring the young Marriott lifestyle brand is scheduled for the beginning of 2017. The central location directly behind the Office Park makes it possible to conveniently reach airport terminals by using the passenger tunnel. In addition, customers can use Office Park 3, which is located in close proximity. Seven floors with a total area of about 14,000 m² will be built on the property covering 6,300 m², including a Moxy food and beverage area. A fitness room and two meeting rooms are also planned. The surrounding premises of the airport provide sufficient parking spaces.
Airport City Vienna: Multifunctional location with future potential
The transformation of Vienna Airport as a real estate location to a multifunctional airport city is a key component of the airport’s business strategy.
