New Long-Haul Route at Vienna Airport:
Thai Airways Inaugurates Flight Service between Vienna and Bangkok
Thai Airways will launch a new regularly scheduled flight service to Bangkok starting on November 16, 2017. The Thai airline will operate four weekly flights on this route, deploying a Boeing B777-200ER aircraft. Accordingly, Vienna Airport will increase its long-haul offering in the 2017/18 winter flight schedule to 83 frequencies per week.

From Vienna to more than 70 global destinations via Bangkok
A Boeing B777-200ER with a capacity of 292 seats will take off on the Vienna-Bangkok route every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flights will leave Bangkok at 1:30 a.m. and land at 7 a.m. local time in Vienna. The return flight from Vienna will depart at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in the Thai capital at 5:20 a.m. local time.
Thai Airways started flying to destinations in Asia in 1960.It already regularly served Vienna in the period 1988 to 1993. The airline employs a staff of about 26,000 people worldwide and transports approx. 22 million passengers each year. At present Thai Airways boasts a fleet of 96 aircraft. The route network not only includes Bangkok but twelves destinations in Thailand and more than 70 destinations across the globe. Thanks to optimal transfer times, passengers can conveniently reach connecting flights to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Thai Airways comfortably connects people to the economic and finance hubs in Asia as well as the dreamy beaches and tourist highlights of the reach, enabling them to reach their destinations in a relaxed manner.
