The Vienna House Easy by Wyndham will be Europe’s largest wooden hotel. The opening of the new hotel is planned for the end of 2025. Construction work is now beginning. In this way, we are strengthening our image as an attractive location for business tourism for our guests from near and far. New and modern overnight accommodations are being created, along with new jobs and valuable economic impetus for the region. My sincere thanks to everyone pressing ahead with this ambitious project with so much commitment. I very much look forward to the opening in the coming year,” emphasizes Johanna Mikl-Leitner, Provincial Governor of Lower Austria.
“We are pleased, even proud, that we are able to successfully implement this project without any compromises despite the currently very challenging conditions. And last but not least, that we will finally bring the Vienna House brand home to Vienna,” states Herbert Pinzolits, owner and CEO MAMMA Group.
“We are gratified to enable this showcase project with our longstanding partners at this important location. Now we are working intensively on opening this hotel as a modern flagship of the Vienna House family and to delight guests from all over the world with lifestyle, digital services and sustainability,” adds Jörg Beginen, COO HR Group.
“By expanding the hotel offering, Vienna Airport is creating significantly more overnight capacities at the site. Demand for this is very high. More than 1,400 rooms will be available to our guests as of the end of 2025. This key investment shows optimism and courage, particularly in the current period of extensive economic uncertainty. And it is based on the confidence in a positive future for travelling and in the AirportCity,” explains Günther Ofner, Joint CEO and CFO of Flughafen Wien AG.
“Thanks to the proximity to the airport, direct connection to the main B9 road and the A4 Eastern Highway as well as to railway lines, the commercial space of Vienna Airport offers the perfect prerequisites for business location projects. MAMMA Group and its customers are focusing on these advantages,” according to Wolfgang Scheibenpflug, Senior Vice President Real Estate & Landside Management of Vienna Airport.
