Condor Expands at Vienna Airport: Stationing of one aircraft and new direct flight connection to Frankfurt
The German airline Condor is expanding its flight offering from Vienna Airport within the context of the summer flight schedule. In addition to the popular holiday destinations of Palma de Mallorca, Kos and Rhodes, the airline will also take off and operate a flight heading to Frankfurt once per day for the first time as of the summer of 2025. The fifth largest city in Germany is an important economic centre and the base for Germany’s largest airport. With the new flight connection, Condor is strengthening the connection between the airport hubs of Vienna and Frankfurt, creating additional transfer options and destinations for travellers on short and long-haul routes. The base will open in spring 2025.
“Condor takes off from Vienna: The stationing of a Condor aircraft in Vienna and the launch of the daily connection to Frankfurt demonstrate the airline's confidence in Vienna as an attractive starting point for travellers. With this new connection, we are opening up additional short and long-haul travel options via Frankfurt and making Vienna an even more important hub for international flights. We are delighted about the expansion of the range of destinations and the cooperation with Condor”, says Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport.
“With our new city connections in the Condor summer flight schedule 2025, we are expanding our offering for leisure and business travellers alike. Frankfurt-Vienna is an important component of this: with Vienna, we are connecting a top tourist destination that is also highly attractive for congress and incentive segments. As Austria's largest airport, Vienna is also a valuable partner for developing our tourism offering and, with the stationing of our first aircraft, we will be able to serve summer destinations such as Greece and Majorca directly from Vienna”, states Christian Lesjak, Sales Director at Condor.

In the summer flight schedule for 2025, Condor will operate one flight each day to Frankfurt. The aircraft will leave Frankfurt at 3:05 p.m. and arrive in Vienna at 4:25 p.m. The return flight from Vienna Airport will depart at 7:40 a.m. and arrive in Frankfurt at 9:00 a.m. Frankfurt Airport is a crucial international flight hub enabling global flight connections for both business trips and holiday travellers.
