Winter Flight Schedule 2025/2026 at Vienna Airport: 21 Long-Haul Destinations and More Short-/Medium-Haul Flight Connections

The new winter flight schedule at Vienna Airport will soon take effect, featuring exciting destinations to travel to in all directions. Anyone who wants to escape the winter will find the sun and warmth in Southern Europe or in a distant land, whereas snow enthusiasts will get their money’s worth by flying far to the north. Austrian Airlines will serve up to 101 destinations, including seasonal flights to Mauritius and the Maldives as well as Ivalo, Kittilä and Rovaniemi in the Lapland region of Finland. Ryanair will offer flights to 53 destinations, for example Dublin, Barcelona, Rome and Malaga. SAS is returning to Vienna Airport and Condor is expanding frequencies from its Vienna base. Fans of long-distance travel can choose from 21 long-haul destinations. The winter flight schedule 2025/2026 will be valid starting on 26 October 2025 until 29 March 2026.

Austrian Airlines with up to 101 destinations
Austrian Airlines boasts a diverse route network and will offer 100 additional flights to particularly sought-after destinations in the first week of the winter flight schedule 2025/2026, which also happens to be the autumn school break. They include Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Valencia and Ibiza as well as Porto, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, Larnaca, Split and Dubrovnik. Fans of snow and cold weather can take advantage of flights to three winter destinations in Northern Europe, i.e. Ivalo, Kittilä and Rovaniemi in Lapland, which is part of Finland. There is also an extensive offering of long-haul flights. Starting on 1 December 2025, Austrian Airlines will once again fly five times a week to Dubai for the first time in ten years. The airline will also operate non-stop flights to dream destinations in the Indian Ocean, i.e., up to five times each week to Mauritius in periods of particularly high demand alongside daily flight service to the Maldives and even two daily flights to Bangkok. Furthermore, several destinations are available all-year round, i.e., Montreal, New York, Newark, Boston, Chicago, Washington and Shanghai.
Ryanair serves 53 destinations deploying 16 aircraft
This coming winter Ryanair will once again feature an extensive flight offering to a total of 53 destinations. Exciting places for city trips such as Barcelona, Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Sofia, Milan, Madrid, London and Manchester are part and parcel of the extensive range of destinations along with winter sun hotspots such as Alicante, Catania, Palma de Mallorca, Malta, Malaga and the Canary Islands, namely Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Moreover, Ryanair is increasing flight frequencies to Niš in Serbia.
SAS returns to Vienna with flights to Copenhagen, Condor increases frequencies
The Scandinavian airline SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) is returning to Vienna Airport following an absence of seven years and will operate up to twelve weekly flights to Copenhagen starting on 26 October 2025. As of the 2025/2026 winter season, Condor will offer three daily flights to Frankfurt, enabling passengers to transfer to numerous long-haul winter destinations such as Punta Cana, Cancun as well as Seattle, San Francisco, Johannesburg and many more places.
Frequency increases by Iberia and Christmas flights offered by easyJet
Spain’s flag carrier Iberia is continuing its programme of increased frequencies in the winter flight schedule and will connect Vienna and Madrid up to 23 times per week. easyJet will offer flights linking Vienna to Basel, Bordeaux, Bristol, Liverpool and London-Gatwick during the Christmas season of November and December 2025 as well as daily flights to Milan-Linate Airport.
Expanded medium-haul and long-haul flight offering from Vienna
Numerous direct flight connections will be available in the winter flight schedule on short-haul and long-haul routes departing from Vienna. Saudia will also fly non-stop to Riad in the winter season, Etihad Airways will serve the destination of Abu Dhabi, Emirates will operate two daily flights to Dubai and Qatar Airways will take off twice daily heading for Doha. Air Arabia will fly twice daily to Sharjah, Ethiopian Airlines once each day to Addis Ababa and Air India will have four weekly flights to Delhi in its offering. There are also excellent flight connections to Asia. Passengers can choose from three weekly flights to Tokyo with All Nippon Airways, three flights each week to Seoul with Korean Air as well as twice weekly to Shenzhen and three times per week to Chengdu with Hainan Airlines. EVA Air will fly passengers to Bangkok and Taipei and China Airlines will operate four weekly flights to Taipei as well. The low-cost airline Scott will offer three flights to Singapore each week.
Wizz Air serves various destinations in Europe during winter
Wizz Air will continue to fly on many routes throughout Europe in the winter flight schedule. The airline will close its base in mid-March 2026.
